Persona 4 Golden, also known as Persona 4: The Golden in Japan, is an enhanced port of PlayStation 2's Persona 4 that released for the PlayStation Vita and later Microsoft Windows. The Vita version is compatible with PlayStation TV. The port adds a variety of new content and convenience features to update the original game. The Moon Arcana is one of the more hidden away s-links in Persona 4 Golden, as you’ll have to progress a bit of the way into another storyline in order to kick off the Ai Ebihara social link.

Ai is a character you can romance and enter into either a casual romantic relationship with or a more genuine and final lovers’ relationship with - but you’ll need to know how to do so, and it’s a little more complicated than with other characters, and with more pitfalls. AI Ebihara S-Link Guide - Moon

While every single character relationship in Persona 4 Golden is different, the Ai Ebihara social link is one of the most complicated in the game simply because it’s an s-link that can be irreparably broken - say and do the wrong thing and this friendship can end suddenly.

That’s where this guide comes in - it lists every s-link rank and all conversation choices for the Ai Ebihara relationship - and it also guides you to making Ai your girlfriend if you want to pursue a relationship with her as lovers - which is also a little more complicated than most of the other romanceable girls in the game.

In Persona 4, social links are measured by a hidden stat for each s-link. Hanging out with that character raises that stat to level it up, and replying in ways the character likes gains you extra points, speeding up the rank-up process.

This page lists all answers that offer point bonuses, with the bonuses listed next to them. Those numbers include an additional affinity bonus for having a Persona of the right Arcana with you - so make sure you have a Moon Persona in your stock when seeing Ai.

• Ai Ebihara is available to spend time with on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. She can be found in the Classroom Building 1F.

Rank 1:

• In order to meet Ai, you’ll need to advance another social link - the Strength (Fellow Athletes) social link. Advance that to rank 4 and you’ll meet Ai as part of proceedings.
• After you’ve met Ai, she’ll appear in the school 1F and will ask you to skip class with her. You’ll need Level 3 Courage to skip classes - rank up courage if you need to, then accept her request to start the s-link, bonding over truancy. Lovely!

This rank contains a question that will completely change how your relationship with Ai processes from here. The s-link can take one of two routes: the Temporary Lovers route, or the Normal Route.

• The Temporary Lovers route will allow you to become romantically involved with Ai as lovers at this rank, but this ultimately has a negative result later, leading only to friendship or the s-link being broken off entirely at rank 8.
• The Normal Route sees you remain friends, but you will then have the option to pursue a true romantic relationship later, at rank 10, if you choose to.
