By performing certain challenges, conditions, or simply picking special game carts/disc items during gameplay, you will have an addition to the Legacy File Library. It's a digital library of sorts, having notable info and trivia on the games that the characters came from. Other things, like stages and memorabilia.

While I understand Project M's existence on this wiki has been debated in the past, I am of the opinion that it's still big enough and relevant enough within the Smash community to stick around - and more or less, that seems to be the general consensus of the wiki staff.

With that being said, the most prominent Project M mod out there is Legacy TE. An increasing number of tournaments use Legacy TE, which, similarly to 20XXTE for Melee, adds quality of life features and additional tournament-focused content to PM. It even fixes game-breaking bugs from Project M when it comes to Subspace Emissary, clear mode, and other modes.

Legacy XP, on the other hand, uses Project M as a base and adds more characters, stages, and modes to the game. Version 2.0 came out last May. It's the most popular Brawl mod on BrawlVault and is actively developed today.

So my question is, is there a place for Legacy TE or Legacy XP on this wiki? They both seem prevalent enough to be considered at least, although I'll acknowledge they're in the 'mod of a mod' category.

If anything, maybe one or both could live on the mod page? Not sure if it would belong there or the Project M proper page.

If it's this popular, it definitely should be mentioned somewhere. It is still a mod, which we do cover (even if not usually as extensively as Project M). I would like to say it should get its own page (not as detailed as Project M or possibly even Brawl-, but something); however, since it is, as you said, a mod of a mod, I'm a bit hesitant.
It may be best to give it a small subsection on Project M (and/or the mods page) and just see how its popularity goes, especially with Ultimate on the horizon. Project M basically died right after we decided to cover it as extensively as we do, but it at least still has an extensive history. This mod seems rather young and could turn out to be a short-lived fad. TheNuttyOne 18:03, 4 October 2018 (EDT)
There isn't enough notability to warrant an article. But it could warrant a section on the mod page or a section on the Project M page though. Corrin Fan 16:44, 29 October 2018 (EDT)

Do you remember Project M? That awesome Super Smash Bros Brawl mod that tried to rebuild Brawl’s physics engine and add lots of new characters and stages to the game?

The one that seemingly got shut down out of nowhere?

Do you ever wish there was a replacement? Another Smash Bros mod to continue its legacy in some way?

Well if so, you’re really going to like Super Smash Bros Legacy XP! Because this Super Smash Bros mod seems to be providing just anything a Smash Bros fan could want! Here’s the official trailer:

As you can see, there’s a ton of fantastic additions here.

You’ve got new stages, like one based on Bowser’s Castle in Super Mario RPG and another based on Wario Land Shake It.

All the characters from Melee that would cut from Brawl are back. Including Young Link, Pichu and Dr Mario.

New characters are added in, including many fan favourites. These include Lucina, Metal Sonic, Ridley and Waluigi (with others like K Rool coming soon).

And heck, there are even things like new costumes (like Pig Ganon) and Omega Forms of stages inspired by Super Smash Bros 4!

It’s quite the impressive mod pack, and it’s only going to get better with future updates. Like a hackless version that’ll be available soon, to let the game run on a non modded Wii. Or whatever other additions they add, like new music, new stages and new characters not mentioned above.

The initial release will need a hacked Wii, but a hackless version will come later.

What do you think of Super Smash Bros Legacy XP? Could it be an even better mod than Project M in due time?
